Very little jQuery is going on there, I actually think this being the first crazy AJAX driven site I've done it could be simplified to use CSS transitions for animation, and the logic behind navigation (easily the least elegant part) of the JS could also be simplified. But that's core JS, not jQuery.

I think it shows that as long as you build the right frontend, SS lets you build a heavily AJAX driven site and fall back to "regular mode" if needed.

We're also using the Bing Translation API in some areas, though the client has opted to turn it off for the time being. SS's language detection functions (iirc, borrowed from Zend) will set the site in to the correct language.

On the surface it does look like a JS circle jerk but rest assured there's plenty of SS/PHP in the backend making it look pretty too :)

Also worth plugging Paul Gledhill from http://energydesignstudio.com for the design.

I would say that this represents what SilverStripe can do beyond being a 'brochure site', which so many are.

Also, it's much more than jQuery ;)

it is a great site....the only problem I have is it's mostly fancy javascript and not much SilverStripe goodness going on...

Again, I like the site, just there were other sites that showcased more SS than jQuery functionality.
